	・八女伝統工芸館　　Yame　Traditional　Craftwork　Center 　八女伝統工芸館は、八女地方の伝統工芸品を展示、保存し、伝統技術の維持向上と地場産業の育成発展をめざし、1986年11月オープンしました。　Yame　Traditional　Craftwork　Center　was　opened　in　November,　1986.　We　hope　to　in　the　Yame　district,　and　foster　the　growth　of　local　industry　by　storing　and　exhibiting　traditional　objects　of　craftwork.

	・八女民俗資料館　Yame　Folkcraft　Exhibition　Hall 　八女民俗資料館は、八女地方の民俗と伝統文化が一目で分かるようにしようという目的で1989年11月23日開館しました。　Yame　Folkcraft　Exhibition　Hall　was　opened　on　November　23,　1989　with　the　intention　of　offering　a　bird’s-eye　view　of　folk　customs　and　traditional　culture　in　Yame　and　its　vicinity. 1F　exhibition 　八女市宮野町の福島八幡宮放生会で奉納される燈籠人形の屋台を実物大に複製したものです。（国指定重要無形民俗文化財）　The　actual-size　replica　of　the　stage　on　which　the　“tohroh　doll”　play　is　perfomed.　The　play　is　dedicated　to　Fukushima　Hachiman　shrine　on　the　days　of　“Hohjohe”（Buddhist　custom　to　release　captive　birds　of　animals）　at　Miyano-machi,　Yame-city. （National　important　intangible　folk　cultural　property.）

	四季の農作業とまつり Seasonal　farming　works　and　festivals 一階には、四季の農作業の様子を江戸時代の絵図とそれにそった道具で紹介しています。また、パネルを使って八女地方のまつりである「川まつり」と「あめがたまつり」を紹介しています。　Seasonal　farming　works　are　displayed　by　the　pictures　drawn　in　the　Edo　period（1603～1867　A.D.）and　the　related　agricultural　implements　on　the　first　floor.　Local　festivals,　“Kawa　matsuri”（fiver　festival）　and　“Amegata　matsuri”（festival　of　a　starch-base　candy）　are　also　exhibited　by　some　panels. 2F　exhibition 八女の養蚕　Silk　culture　in　Yame 八女地方は、戦前まで桑を栽培し、さかんに蚕を飼っていました。　Before　World　War　Ⅱ　Yame　was　highly　cultivated　with　mulberry　to　feed　a　large　number　of　silk　worms. 八女の石工　Stonemason　in　Yame 八女茶　Yame　green　tea 　釜で炒る製茶方の頃の道具を展示しています。　Tea-making　instruments,　when　tea　was　made　by　roasting　in　a　iron　pot,　are　on　display. 和ろうそく　Wax　candle　　ろうの原料のハゼの実や、「和ろうそく」づくりの道具を展示しています。　The　wax　tree　seed,　the　raw　material　of　wax　candle,　and　wax-candle　making　instruments　are　on　display.
